Creative Brief

Logo needed for upscale marina

Brunswick Landing Marina

Located in the heart of downtown Brunswick, Georgia

No

We have a marina that holds over 300 large boats.

All boats are over 35 feet long. We have about 75% sail boats and about 25% power motor yachts.

The problem we have ran into is that we do not want to appear that we only want sail boats or that we only want power boats. We need to appeal to them BOTH!

We've considered different ways to approach this problem:

1) create a logo that incorporates both sail boat and power boat.

2) create a logo that has an abstract version of an old 3-masted schooner.

3) create a logo of a boat that is abstract and modern enough that is does appeals to everyone.

We have a HUGE bridge here that is somewhat of a landmark. All of our boaters have to enter trhough this bridge to get to our Marina. It may be nice to try and incorporate this bridge into the logo design if possible. The bridge is named the Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick, Georgia. Here is a link to some pictures of it: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=off&q=sidney+lanier+bridge&biw=1440&bih=799

draft #55: Do you think you could do something like this? http://vvcap.net/db/GYIfKHDDrxXiwp_3yb0m.htp I'm not a graphics designer but you see what I mean? Something to tie the sail boat and the yacht into the "Brunswick Landing Marina" without it all looking completely separate. Drafts #61 and #59 look great except that my boss doesn't like the logos that at that tall. He wants something that will fit easily at the top of a letter without taking up 1/3 of the page. Keep up the great work!!

The pictures that contain water should do their best not to make the water look rough. Big waves are not a good thing for marinas. :)

draft #42: Could you try to put the sail boat on one side and the powerboat on the other side of Brunswick Landing Marina... Maybe try to incorporate them into the wording or each other?
