Our current logo uses blue and red - but we are open to new ideas. RGB 51/102/153 (Blue) & 204/0/51 (Red)

We have used our existing logo for some time and have been reasonably happy with it.
However, the logo has two main problems:
1. It does not look good on the web (maybe because the image is too sharp?)
2. It does not look good on dark backgrounds.
We are after new ideas and look forward to seeing some good designs.
All ideas will be considered. However, our preference is for designs that are based on an evolution of our existing logo. We are seeking to improve our existing design without completely starting from scratch. It is suggested that designers start with the existing logo and consider ideas and options to modernize and improve it so that it can be better suited for broader use.
Of course, if you have a completely new idea that you think is more suitable than our existing logo, please submit it. Any new and creative ideas will be most welcome.
