We are an independent insurance agency who offers auto, home, life, health, commercial, disability etc. insurance. We also offer financial planning services. We have been in business since 1906 and have been owned by the same family since 1932. The current owner is the third generation in his family to own the business. His son is the 4th generation to work for the business.
We are located in a town of about 50,000 but we are very close to a town of 125,000 and are within 20 miles of the state capital (Boise, ID). We service this entire area. So our logo should appeal to a rural setting as well as an urban setting if possible.

We are a small business but want to present professionalism and want our logo to convey longevity and trustworthiness. Nothing too campy, or small town-ish.

Unfortunately "insurance" does not lend itself to obvious logo choices. We need to stay away from anything that has been taken such as the Allstate hands, the Travelers umbrella, the American Family house etc.
We will communicate with the designers as much as possible so throw up some ideas and we will be prompt in giving feedback.
