We have attached an image of a 16th Century Portuguese coat of arms on a giant silver plate. We would like for our logo design to be based (at least partially) on a replication of that image.

We specifically do not want anything overly colorful or complicated. The logo must be relatively simple in nature, without too much going on. The logos of major banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, publishing houses, and pharmaceutical companies could be used as a template for the direction we'd like to go into.
