Luxury company needs a logo to build a brand image

Not going to explain the business as the objective of this project is to build a logo that will build a brand. Most luxury products/ service companies use an object or symbol which is quickly identified during media campaigns even without the actual spelling of the company text - example, BMW logo. I am looking for something similar. My company name with a symbol or something symbolic above or beside the name. Do your research by looking at ancient symbols for luxury, royalty, wealth, etc. If a symbol is not used, Maybe a play on the first letter of the company name: "O".

Dont over complicate the design. Looking for something simple that uses colors associated with luxury. Maybe even shades of black and white with a single color to give it an extra charm. Stay away from bright, or neon colors. I am not sure if modern will reflect the brand image that we are trying to create, but, i will welcome any suggestions along this motif. Probably more appropriate to go with something traditional or classical.

This logo will be used to create a brand position within the most affluent community.The image, object or symbol used in the logo will be used in several media campaigns and should take a life on its own.
