Attached is a rough idea for a logo which uses the STATE of NJ MAP in place of the J. To do it right, the image will immediately be recongnizable as a map on New Jersey as well as the letter "J."
We chose a "character" design, with the map of NJ being the character.
You can give consideration to making this look like a NJ license plate, together the "J/map" effect
