The NATD will be a new professional association that individuals that run sporting events (most are called tournament directors) will join to get certified, trained, participate in forums to learn from other tournament directors, get reduced prices on things they have to purchase to run their tournaments, etc. etc. We expect to have about 2,000 members the first year, and the organization will eventually start it’s own series of regional and national championships in up to 75 different sports.
