This logo is for a private piano studio website. The website I designed myself and I am soon going to get a site redesign and I will most likely have the homepage designed around the logo concept which is why I wanted to get the logo before my site redesign. I want my logo to be somewhat eclectic in nature, not cartoonish and not too serious looking. Something flashy and artistic. You can really think outside the box. Different is good. Colored accents is good. A tasteful color palette will definitely capture attention (Google is a perfect example - simple yet so catchy) I do not advertise towards specifically young children , teenagers or adults, so you won't need to take this into consideration.

I wish to encourage hints of Red and Grand Piano Goldish Soundboard color along with Black / White to capture the essence of a Grand Piano Color Palette. (Just check out the opened Grand Piano picture on the left side of the banner on my Home Page for color options.)

I would also encourage anyone to simply type in 'music studios' or 'piano studios' into Google to find what the highest ranking sites use for their logos and perhaps work off that.

http://californiamusicstudios.com/ (I like this design, 3 colors, simple and eye catching. It also looks FUN and engages viewers because of the human images.)

http://downtownmusicstudios.com/ (I think this log just sucks - But their website design has character)

http://www.vancemusicstudios.com/ (Again, I hate this logo but the 3 X 3 colorful pictures on the upper left of the Home page is very eye catching.)

So, in summary. Eclectic, colorful and perhaps matching a Grand Piano color palette.
