Professional logo for a new pediatric medical practice

We're a group of doctors located in a semi-rural area in central California.
We'd like our logo to reflect our community, which is known for its beautiful scenery - mountains, rivers, lakes - and for the active children who reside here, who love the outdoors.
We would like the logo to convey a classic and timeless feeling, without appearing too cartoon-like, or garish.

We would like to avoid too many loud, primary colors, and are looking for colors that reflect the outdoors. The colors should also look good when transferred to window decals (monochrome). Other than that, there are no restrictions!

We were hoping for a logo that included children playing in the outdoors, perhaps in silhouette.
We were hoping for a logo that reflects the joy and innocence of childhood, without being too simplistic, or resorting to symbols like blocks.
However, we are open to any concepts you may have that will convey to our patients that we are a trustworthy group of doctors who love helping children stay healthy and active.
