Describe who/what this design is about

The design is for a small environmental company that is a sister company to our american counterpart - pure enviro management LLC
Their design is clean, looks sharp, but we wanted to make ours have a canadian flag incorporated to the design. I want you to take what we made and make it BETTER. Our logo currently looks weak.

then look at what we tried to do with the canadian one
http://www.pureenviromgt.ca. The logo we tried to make looks weird.....it's not professionally done, the edges look sketchy and it's just not that great. Can you take what we have and enhance it? make the edges sharper? make it pop? high resolution?
