I am having trouble figuring out how to share ranch photos with you on the Shutterfly site. Please look to have a new web link for viewing images of the actual ranch setting within the next day or so. fyi - RiverHead Ranch prings begin in the inner ranch which merge with other springs from neigboring ranches to form the head waters of the Nueces River. Hence the name.

Please not that the is under construction and that the ranch mission is still not defined. We are going to explore a commercial angle in order to help fund the charitable side of the project. Therefore, for the sake of this logo, we need something that's gerneral enough to appeal to a corporate retreat, a family vacation, a special needs child . . . .

As to colors, I have been deliberately opaque, so as to inspire you to think of colors which conjure up the west . . in a way John Wayne might pop into your mind. . . .Old distressed wood, leather, iron, sun setting over scrub brush covered hills. etc. The image could be cartoony, but serious. This project will in large part serve underprivileged and special needs children, so it can’t be too intimidating. The image could be somewhat abstract or a simple item that conjures the imagination. (boot, horse shoe, barbed wire, deer or horse on hill, rope, horses head which when examined is shaped to include hill, springs . . . . spur, bit, cactus. cowboy hat, silhouette of cowboy / horse on hill buckle, etc.. Getting the full name into to the image may make it to complicated. A cookie with RHR or RR buried in it, along with a western font of the full RiverHead Ranch along side, under or over.
