Our present logo was developed with the acronym S.O.S. (Save Our Sodus) (help)- (see web http://www.saveoursodus.com) we are a group of people who care about the water quality issues in our watershed and specifically Sodus Bay. We are local residents, farmers, boaters, fishermen, kayak .. and all people who visit our beautiful bay and are concerned about the health of Sodus Bay



The bay is located in upstate New York and is the largest inlet on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. A very large Bay, about 3000 acres it is surrounded by three towns . There are over 1200 property owners that live right on the waters of the Bay. There are 10 marinas and 10s of thousands of people who recreate on the Bay through various activities such as sailing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or just relaxing on the water. The area is primarily a tourist area in the summer. We also have three islands.


Although we are advocates for the environment we don't consider our group an environmental group, instead all of our members try to get along with each other and work together to help others learn how to take care of this valuable resource.
