  Hi Artsie9324, I am not convinced that inviting you to participate in this contest based on your impressive portfolio could be considered "sucking you in". The two designs that you did submit were not even submitted until mid-way through the contest, Leaving me to think your interest level was minimal. And while the quality of the designs were somewhat nice(ish), they were not at all what we were looking for.... hence no revision feedback for you, since we had already been working with other designers for a couple of days and inching revisions closer to our needs. Not sure how much time you actually wasted on those two designs, but to save you the trouble in the future, we will be sure to not invite you to participate in our other projects. Seems like your sense of entitlement is rooted deeper than your common sense. Joe

  Also, please let me say that i think Alex did great work! As did BDesign. To make it clear the criteria that won this design competition was the head design. Not the font, of the box layout... to be honest several designers had the same or very similar fonts and layouts. The winning design was really based only only he head design, and how I felt it represented more closely what I was looking for in the logo.

  Hi All, I would like to say that BDesign posted his head design 2 days "BEFORE" Alex. And it was only "AFTER" seeing BD's head design that I asked Alex to provide a head design as well. Up to that point, there was no entry from Alex with a head design. BD did come load a head design first, not Alex. Also, I did provide the top 2 (Alex and BD) with very similar feedback, and direction as I know what I wanted and was trying to drive them both in that same direction. At the end of the day, I selected the design that I felt fitted my needs more. I do believe that both designs are original, and no one copied anyone else here. And if anyone still thinks that BD copied Ales's head design, please remember, BD posted the head design a full 2 days BEFORE Alex did, making copying impossible. Best regards, Joe

  Hi Mnorth, Yes I meant Unwithdraw :) I was given direction for formatting and text based on Alex' design, of course I did not know this at the time. I do not know if Alex was given direction for the head based on my design though ... Like I said we should give the PH the benefit of the doubt as it is their first time on this site and at the end of the day they just want to tailor a design they like. As for the clipart I sent a mail to Mycoburst explaining the steps that led to the head design: #68 (from Guava project last year which I did not win) : http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/184623/draft/1339268 As you can see the hair looks like bananas :) So I decided to replace the hair with Guava leaves because of the old project's name and nature: #69: http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/184623/draft/1339270 Not much more I can say on that matter I'm afraid...

  I said UN-withdraw. Why would I say remove? Anyway, I just found out that this was a veiled contest and either the designs are just coincidental or the CH asked one of you to follow the other's concept. I still would like to see Alex's entries that are before your concept. I do hope this gets resolved. I don't think you have to split because it was veiled but I'm not sure about what will happen with the clip art link that was provided.

  Hi Mnorth, I can't and so I apologize for unfairly referring to you. I just assumed, since you asked him to remove entries before my design #80 instead of asking him to just withdraw his entries so you can understand why I felt targeted.

  Hi, It seems that I'm at the end of a bad joke: - For those that think that I copied Alexmaxis' head (Mnorth, Alex): http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/184623/draft/1339270 I made the head ages ago for a previous similar contest that I did not win. So hopefully that clears that. - Alex: I did not know that the direction I was getting for the formatting and font was coming from your design. So I think the fairest thing to do is to split the victory. Let us give the PH the benefit of the doubt as it is probably their first time on this site. - Raych: Thanks for making this harder than it is. It is easy to accuse, but unfortunately harder to defend, but for it is worth, did you see me copy that logo, do know when I designed that logo? Would it comes as a surprise if told you it was last year (see the above link) and for all you know the head you see on your link might be ripped off my design ? Also, the concept of leaves on a head is nothing new, just look at the other designs that use it (Alex's ...). For the rest, I leave it to Mycroburst's better judgement. If my design somehow does survive these accusations and is still considered a winning design, I would still like a split winning share with Alex...

  Hi Joseph, i think that it's not professional to do this ,,, i work hard on this contest....i put a fery good visuals , my logo was preseted in the same point , like what you chose... You gave the direction to the winner from my visual....because it's the SAME VISUAL-SAME COLOR-SAME FONT LIKE MINE????? there is e few percent to have chance in a blind contest to have the same think???? You said to me that one of my visual is to PUNKY what you chose???? good luck ...Mazeltov with your SUPER visual...Alex

  A few tips that might help you put your best work forward: 1) This logo is not for a product label. 2) this logo is for our corporate identity. This of it like this: * Dove Soap is a product with a logo designed for packaging. * Unilever is the corporation that own the Dove brand. Unilever has a logo designed for corporate identity. 3) Our project brief specifically lists out a few key words that will help you win: * Vintage - Old style classic iconic designs * Illustrative - Hand drawn illustration, computer generated illustration.... illustration. * Clean and Simple - No need to make it complex or overly busy. * Gender neutral. 4) A few NO NO items mentioned in our brief that will help you stay on the right path: * No flashy, teen-pop, shiny metallic, or neon. Following these (or most of these) will help you design a concept that we are looking for. If you have specific questions, please send me a private note or post your note here for all to see. I am very eager to get the right design, and want to provide all of the designers with as much information as possible in order to put forth the best possible concept that has the best possible chance to win.   Hi Carolina, Please feel free to submit concepts with or without using Inc. or Incorporated. Also, please keep in mind that this logo will not be used as a product brand logo or product brand label. This logo is intended to be our corporate identity, used for our building signage, purchase order documents, and all corporate needs, etc. That said, please feel free to design what you think is best without limitations.   Hello! Please Check the option to take out from the logo the word inc., in general 90% not use that into de logo design, Ithink is more good for your futures products, can be more clean and easy to read. Every time the complet company name is aplicated also in differents box parts, labels, adress. And the designers can do the best work for you.Is my opinion. Im work about somes ideas for you.Im very like this contest, Im feel in my place. Best Regards Carolina
