Welcome designers!
I am a sports medicine acupuncturist whose focus is on pain management. I adore healing sports-related injuries along with day-to-day aches and pains so people can get back to a highly functioning lifestyle as quickly as possible. Though my focus is on athletes, I also love to treat people from all walks of life. Patients in my practice range from the 2011 Ironman World Champion triathlete, to moms who’ve thrown out their backs and can’t pick up their children, to the elderly who just need to get to the other side of their house. Everyone has their own level of “Peak Performance”. Young to old, if they’re in pain or not performing to their highest expectations, they’re “my people”!

Abstract
* Bold colors. Turquoise makes me really happy - though I’m not keen on a combo of turquoise and a darker blue. An example is the old Eastern Airlines colors. * I also enjoy earth tones, but my fear is it will feel too calm. My practice is about activity. So, that being said I love earth tones so long as its not too laid back feeling. Have fun with it. You may surprise me! * I’d like at least 2 colors, but probably no more than 3. * Having one of the colors that looks good in a foil technique would be a bonus.

Do Not Like/Don’t Want:
* No red. Red and needles?? Not so great.
* No needles in the imagery either. Don’t need to spoil the surprise when they get to the office :o).
* I do not want it to look Asian, Chinese, Oriental, etc. I prefer to align myself with a modern approach to the ancient healing arts.
* I like the idea of the logo looking sporty, but I do not want to limit my practice by the logo focusing on any one athletic iconography. I treat a wide range of injuries - triathlon, golf, tennis, snow sports, rock climbing, hiking, non-athletic injuries, etc, etc.
* And lastly, I’d prefer no overt mountain/peak imagery. Inferred is okay. I practice in Boulder, Colorado. The mountain imagery in logos is overdone here (yawn...).
Thank you in advance for all your brilliant ideas!
