Creative Brief

Suffolk Canine Creche

Suffolk Canine Creche

No

This is a new business offering day care for dogs. The dogs are not kennelled, they run free and play together all day, whilst their owners are at work, some will come for socialisation and just to get them tired!

We launch in Jan 2012 and we will be licensed to have about 30-40 dogs per day, we have outside and inside area's, inside it looks very much like a child's nursery, with white walls, play pits filled with balls and paintings of bones and paw prints..

I have been very focused on the unit and given no thought to the logo. We do not have a website yet, though I have retained the url, this might be the next project.

This is a fun environment, but we want to portray a very professional image, almost corporate. People are trusting us with their dogs, (some of which are treated like children!) though of course they are all part of the family.

We will have dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Very open, feel more drawn towards simplicity, however you may be able to produce a multi-coloured design that I love.

I like these: -

I like silhouettes, but not so keen on cartoon characters
I like paw prints, bones etc.
I am very open on text style.

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful drafts, we have had the hardest decision and have come up with a short-list (highlighted with 5 stars). Drafts #18, #19 and #36 have all been given 5 stars, we will make our final decision over the next 24 hours, again thank you to everyone else for their contributions. Candy

Yes, Draft #28 feels a bit too busy...not so keen on the dog inside a paw print inside a tag and with the initials. We seem to be drawn to something a bit clearer looking. The font proportions to one another are very good, the word suffolk should be smaller (as my clients will live and work in suffolk, so hopefully they will know where they are...) we wanted the words "canine Creche", to be dominant, and they are!

Some wonderful drafts, we thank you.... Feedback so far: - In general, we love the blue and green combo for colours, but have not got a final decision on dark or lighter shades...but the blue/green combo's feel right to us. Draft's #13, #17 - love the dog in this, he makes us think he is smiling, portrays a happy dog! Draft's #14,#15,#18,#19, again really love this dog outline, it's generic and could be any breed and depicts fun but keeps professional. Draft #20, prefer the lower of the two images, where the tail is straight, not so keen on the tail hanging down, we love this picture as it depicts small and big - all breeds and also you have conveyed how they are having fun together. Drafts #21-#26, we like this concept, the dog is generic, though we prefer the word "suffolk", to be first, the words "canine creche" should be the dominant words so that is great. I hope this feedback helps and again thanks so much. Candy

Draft #3,#5 and #6, I get that you are showing small and large dogs, but at first glance the big lad looks like a horse. Draft #4, I think "Canine Creche" is lost a bit, this wording needs to be more prominent, this is a new concept to most people so they need to see that part of the wording more clearly, "Suffolk", is the county we live in and does not need to be so prominent. I "like" these, but nothing yet that really grabs my eye.
