Creative Brief

TAILORED EYECARE AND EYEWEAR

Tailor made for you

Health

Our target audience is adults aged 40 years+, our ethos is about patient care. The practice is both professional, clinical and design led. We must communicate the professionalism, simplicity and care. The Postcard will be personalised, obviously the poster will not.

A postcard which is A5 in size (please see the attached PDF for sizing and what areas to leave blank on the reverse for the address etc.) On the front if using a bleed this needs to be 3mm all round. To make it really tailored we would like to include the patients name on the front, this could be in any true type font as long as you supply a copy of the font, so it really can match in with the design. The Posters we require will be based upon the postcard and can be the same but 2 different sizes one is 60" x 40" portrait and the other 30" x 20" portrait. These all need to be CMYK and at 300DPI.

On the posters we don't require the text that is on the back of the postcard

Hi Photozee, Thanks for the designs. The text in Design #7 is better because the first line is more like a headline which it should be. I like the idea of the designs, but this is going to be a series of postcards made to the same people and I think that they will all start looking the same. As this one is about tailored eyecare could you have a go at using a tailors dummy in the design, something like... http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-dummy--image4935953 http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photo-mannequin-image18131255 http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-image-old-dressmaker-dummy-image13085531 http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photography-upper-half-of-old-dressmaker-dummy-image10239247 http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photos-vintage-fashion-model-dummy-mannequin-image1388453 http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-image-mannequin-image1748561 http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photos-sewing-mannequin-image5568008 They are just some ideas, you can use any stock image you can get hold of that looks good. If you could combine it with the eye from #6 & #7 that may work? I have updated the text for the front of the postcard - please see the new file uploaded. Design #4 - Can you remove the Buchanan Optometrists from the address as it is already in the logo. Can you change the font of the main text so it is a bit easier to read. I will need a copy of all the fonts that you use in the design for the front and the back please if we finalise these designs. Many thanks

Thanks for the draft No 2. The problem is that this looks like the sort of marketing every optician uses. It really doesn't get across the idea of tailored eyecare and eyewear which is the key idea of this marketing exercise. The postcard has to catch peoples attention from just dropping on their floor as this is being mailed to new potential clients. Don't be afraid not to use a picture of an optician!! maybe a tailors dummy or something like that? but we do need to make sure its clear that it is an optician and not a tailor. If the wording needs to be changed or reduced let me know. This draft unfortunately looks like something I could have got from stock templates.
