Describe who/what this design is about

This logo is for a radical new electronic device that automatically disinfects Computer Keyboards, Notebook Computers, Touch-Screens like Point of Sale, Self Checkout Screens at stores, iPad Kiosks, etc. It's compact, intelligent, and uses a combination of Motion Sensor, time-delay, and software to monitor its assigned area for human activity, after which it uses low intensity UltraViolet-C light to irradicate any viruses or bacteria left behind, making the device safe for the next human to use. Move over Tony Stark...UV Angel...the REAL SuperHero.
This will be used on ANY HID (Human Interface Device), changing those surfaces from their current status of most bacteria-ridden (far more than toilet seats), to most disinfected, having enormous public health benefits for Health Care, Restaurants (Touch Screens), Stores, Cruise Ships, Hotels, ANY environment. This is a potentially multi-billion dollar product that we're launching later this year, and nothing like it in the world currently exists.

UV Bulbs glow blue, so it tends to make sense to at least make use of that color.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

I've done some work on a logo design, like merging the UVA letters in UVAngel together, making the UV a lighter shade of blue, and using a vertical blue gradient in the UV, going lighter to dark from top to bottom, like the UV light itself. I have a shield w/ a Caduceus on it currently, shield blue, Caduceus light blue-white, which is sort of OK, but looks a little like Blue Cross Blue Shield, so looking for something else. I've played a little bit with changing the dual coiled snakes on the Caduceus to a DNA Helix, since UVC works by disrupting the virus's DNA, which may work if designed right. I've very open to any idea right now.

Addynugros logos were our favorite as stand alone logos. However, when we looked at the end of the competition at the logos superimposed on the device itself, #98 became the clear favorite & is why it won.

Could I see some of the "V"s as "A" without the crossbar, essentially an inverted V? Although I really like the look of a V, the A tends to make more sense since Angel is more a part of the name than Violet. Thanks, Ted

I just unveiled this project so everyone can see what I'm liking to help you focus in on the right concepts. I like #9 by far the best at this point. It's clean, edgy, and compact. I also really like the text style from #25 and also & #38. #38 & 39's logo looks pretty cool, but I'm not totally sold on the colors on #39. Thanks everyone, Ted

Another thing to be aware of, our device is relatively narrow & sits horizontally, so a logo that fits that setting is preferred.

Things I notice I'm considering when looking at the designs: Our device is about 4 inches long & 0.75 inches in diameter. The logo must easily fit there. Software also goes with our device, so ideally, the logo is also easily represented when shrunk down to the Start Bar in Windows, or an Icon.

Maybe this will help: First there was Iron Man, now comes UV Angel. Both are High-Tech Warriors using radical technology to battle foes. The key difference between the two...Iron Man is make believe, UV Angel is REAL. Using carefully developed UltraViolet Repulsor Technology, UV Angel destroys dangerous foes like MRSA, eColi, H1N1, and ANY other microscopic invader trying to harm people through Human Interfaces like computers, touch-screens, self checkout stations, Kiosks, etc. Ever Vigilant and Watchful, UV Angel carefully monitors its assigned area for Human Activity, after which it blasts microbes left behind into oblivion, making the device safe for the next Human to use. Take Life & Death Risks when you Sky Dive or Bungie Jump, not when you use a computer or go through the Check Out at the Local Store! Move over Tony Stark. UV Angel...your REAL Best Defense!
