Would like to incorporate the concept of a "hidden solution" into the logo (somehow). For example, "hiding" 1's or 0's in the logo, substituting l's, i's or o's with 1's or 0's, shaping some of the letters to appear as something else (a barcode maybe?), etc. There seem to be a lot of options, the challenge is keeping the logo professional.

Some potential starting points (they are NOT required, just some ideas to get started):
- include a "sync function" (http://cfs3.tistory.com/upload_control/download.blog?fhandle=YmxvZzY2MjM1QGZzMy50aXN0b3J5LmNvbTovYXR0YWNoLzAvMi5wbmc%3D), which is used extensively in digital signal processing
- incorporate a UPC barcode (http://www.barcoding.com/upc/) that encodes our webpage "www.hiddensolutionsllc.com"
- incorporate a QR barcode (http://qrcode.kaywa.com/) that encodes our webpage "www.hiddensolutionsllc.com"

The ", LLC" must be in the logo, but can be de-emphasized and downplayed.

Some GREAT designs, everyone! Thanks for all of the submissions. If possible, we would really like to see some variations of the 4 and 5 star logos with some other colors, like royal blue, emerald green, and gold.

Would rather have the "LLC" in line with the sync pulse, as in #68, but more off to the right, as in #67. We really like that the sync pulse spans the full height of the text in #67. We would like the sync pulse to be expanded the full width of "Solutions", like in #67, but with smaller and smaller oscillations/ripples (continue the pattern), not just a line. We like the bold line of #67, better than the thin line in #68. The font and thickness in #67 and #68 work great, please incorporate the above comments before changing the font. Not crazy about the font in #61. Would like to see a variation with the font/thickness/spacing in #54 with the sync pulse and "LLC" incorporated. Please provide a split display with black/white (like #30) with the black/white reversed in the logo design so that we can see both variations.

jlongdesign - We like the font in #54 and the visual effect that comes with the second line adjacent to the top (without any space). Would like to see a red sync function incorporated into the design (see previous post and/or comments to Giovanni below) and some variations on character thickness in "Hidden". "LLC" is missing in #54, #55, #57, and #58. Giovanni - Several requests: (1) Please make "Hidden" and "Solutions" the same size vertical height (it's fine to adjust the width/spacing of the letters and we'd like to see several variations on this), (2) Bump "Solutions" up until it is touching the black box above, (3) The red sync function is just not in the right place, yet. Could you try something similar to #21 with the sync function effectively becoming an underline below "Solutions" (maybe stopping at or going behind an "LLC" at the right-hand side).

we would really like to see one last concept: "Hidden" in WHITE in a BLACK box with the letters spanning the entire box (so that the edges of the letters on the outside of the box can't be seen). Then "Solutions" in BLACK below it. "Hidden" and "Solutions" should be approximately the same size (i.e. DON'T make "Hidden" look bigger than "Solutions"). This should give an illusory effect that ties into the company name. To add some color and tie into the business, incorporate a RED sync function (see brief for website). The sync function should span the length of the logo (if you need more length, the ripples continue the same pattern to the left and right, decreasing in amplitude with each oscillation). It could take the place of an "I" in either "Hidden" or "Solutions", such as in #21, or use your imagination.

Thanks to everyone for all of the designs and ideas. At this point, we don't quite have what we are looking for, but are very encouraged at the submissions to date. So, we are going to guarantee the prize money and extend the contest for an additional 3 days.

For any new designs: The important word in our business name is "Solutions". We would really like to see *both* "Hidden" and "Solutions" of comparable size/emphasis. If one word is bigger or receives more attention, it should be the word "Solutions".

psychoteck #32 - The design is flashy yet simple, however we would really like to see emphasis on *both* "Hidden" and "Solutions". If one word receives more emphasis, it needs to be the word "Solutions". Also, we'd really like to have the theme of the logo be more than just "H" and "S". We would like any effects to be tied into our company name or business.

zoelhunt #29/#30 - The design is sleek and simple, but we would really like to see emphasis on *both* "Hidden" and "Solutions". If one receives more emphasis, it needs to be the word "Solutions". Of the two, #30 is more aesthetically pleasing to us. However, we'd really like to see the theme of the logo tied into the concept of a "hidden solution" or our business. We really like how the red jumps out at the viewer, but right now it doesn't tie in to anything about our company. We need the red to convey something about our business.

anoise #27 - Really not crazy about this icon. Looking at it, although the "H" really stands out and the "$" effect from #8 and #9 are gone though, the "S" isn't very clear at all.

Giovanni #28 - We loved the "negative" effect that you did with "Solutions", but really don't like the background in #28. Also, "hiding" the sync function in the text coloring is a nice, subtle way to incorporate that aspect of our business. Could you try some variations with strongly contrasting backgrounds that splits between "Hidden" and "Solutions" where "Hidden" and "Solutions" are the color of the opposing background? The type of thing we are/were thinking of is something like: black box w/ "Hidden" in white text with "Solutions" in black text on a white below the box. Maybe a red or blue sync function mixed in somewhere? Just a direction, feel free to take it wherever you think works best...

FontenotDesign #25/#26 - You are on the right track, but could you please try some of the following options: (1) put the text on a single line and change the font to something closer to that used in #27. We're thinking simple/clean/modern. (2) Even with the shadow, the logo has an unfinished 2D look to it. Not sure if it would work, but could you try making it look more three dimensional? (maybe make the shadow a reflection or use a 3D font). (3) have the numbers appear in the *reflection/shadow* only, not in the company name itself. Perhaps even incorporate some 1's?

NuYork #31 - Nice, simple design. Never thought about using a 3. Could you please modify slightly as follows: (1) If one of the words has more emphasis than the other, "Solutions" should receive priority. Could you please change the emphasis from "Hidden" to "Solutions" and/or try balancing the emphasis. (2) Try using "http://www.barcoding.com/upc/" to generate a barcode for "hiddensolutionsllc.com" and using that code in place of the current barcode (you do NOT need to use the text at the bottom of the barcode, just the pattern).

Giovanni #13/#15, FontenotDesign #16-#24: A most sincere "Thank You" for all of the variations. Almost all of the ideas/concepts that we started with (including some new, creative ones) have now been incorporated into at least one logo design for us to visualize. We like that all of these logo designs have effects (reflections/textures/sync functions/etc) on the entire company name, rather than just an icon, however, these designs are just too "busy". We would really like something more "elegant". The QR-Codes, both as an icon and a font texture (nice touch!), just aren't working for us. We asked for it b/c it seemed like an avenue worth exploring, but now that we have seen it, the effect ends up just making the design too busy. We like the use of the sync function, but their use so far has been a little off the mark. We do like how the sync funcion is incorporated into the text in #21. However, we don't like it by itself as a stand-alone icon (#13/#15). Not crazy about how it blocks the text in #16 and you can't tell that it is a sync function in #23 and #24 since it is completely behind the text. Similarly, we can't quite put our fingers on why, but now that we have seen several different variations, the all-caps "H1DDEN SOLUT1ONS" just isn't working either. I think we would prefer a cleaner, more elegant font with upper/lowercase, like in #9 or #14. We like the reflection "hiding" something in it (both binary and the company name). However, the reflection effect of #13 and #15 is largely lost because the binary looks so much different from the text. In #23 and #24, the reflection is a little more effective, but it needs to stand out more (which may lose the effect). Also, not sure if anything can be done about it, but we're not crazy about making "Hidden" stand out more than "Solutions". If anything, we'd rather it be the other way arond. Some ideas to try with respect to the reflections: - maybe go to a simple upper/lowercase font like in #9 or #14 and then incorporate 1's and/or 0's into the reflected text (just for some letters)... - put a ripple across the reflection to tie it in to our line of work

FajarDesign #8 and #9 - One additional request in addition to those from March 26. We noticed that at 1st glance, the logo looks like a "$". Please see what you can do to break up that effect.

anoise #14 - The "S" still isn't working for us. Could you try some other "S" constructions? Simple lines/dots like the "H" would be preferable. Something as small as just removing the curls at the ends of the "S" might even work. Also, please move the bottom of the "S" so that it is in-line with the bottom of the "H" (don't change the angle, though).

FajarDesign #8 and #9 - Nice job! We interpreted the light-colored rings in the icon to be the "propagating waves" that we asked for. Could you try putting them on just the left-hand side and make the waves appear to be originating from a source at the bottom left of the "H" (the current design looks like there are multiple sources arranged along the edge of the "S"). It would be cool if you could even create the effect that some of the waves had bounced off of the inside wall. Also, not sure whether we will like it or not, but in your next revision could you please swap the texture of "Hidden" and "Solutions" so that "Solutions" is in bold? anoise #10 - This is the right track, but the "S" just isn't working for us. Could you try moving the bottom of the "S" so that it is in-line with the bottom of the "H" (don't change the angle, though). Also, please try adding that two-tone into the "Hidden Solutions" text and some other "S" constructions. Simple lines/dots like the "H" would be preferable. Something as small as just removing the curls at the ends of the "S" might even work. Giovanni #11 - The reflection is a nice touch, but the "box" icon isn't really what we are looking for. Could you play around a little with "hiding" something in the reflection? Maybe have the reflection be in binary, have the reflection (or a shadow) of "Solutions" have the word "Hidden", or even put a ripple across the reflected surface? CorderoNegro #12 - That's the sync function that we all know and love! Definitely prefer a single line, without the fill, though. Could you please try integrating the sync function into the words "Hidden Solutions" (in other words, remove it from an icon on the side to something built into the words). Have fun w/ it and go your own direction, the general idea is something along the lines of the line going between letters or even being a part of one or more letters.

anoise - Of the 3 designs you have submitted, #5 is still the best. There's something about both the angle and simplicity that make it work. Definitely like the two-tone "Hidden Solutions" of #7. Can you try to construct an "S" in the same fashion as the "H" in #5?

anoise/yosika - the type of effect that I am trying to convey when I say "waves propagating across a thin plate/metallic surface" is similar to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE6wk1Z-bLc The mirrored/metallic effect is nice, but it has to tie in to our products/services. *One* way to do that would be to make it look like a wave is propagating across the surface.

(glem3mx #2) - Although the "S" is somewhat integrated or "hidden" in the icon, this isn't really what we are looking for. We would like to see something that more clearly conveys the concept of a "hidden solution".

(FontenotDesign #3) - First off, we loved that you found a way to incorporate the 1's and 0's, QR code (which decoded great!), and sync function. You clearly internalized the our comments in the brief and incorporated them. The choice of 1's for i's works great with uppercase letters (we kept trying to do it w/ lowercase and found it confusing to distinguish between ells and ones). However, the logo comes across as *very* busy, while we are looking for something much more simple and elegant. Could you try removing the "H" altogether, rotating and centering "H1DDEN" so that it is above "SOLUTIONS,LLC" and play around w/ incorporating the QR Code *OR* sync function (but not both) from there? The door idea is interesting, but there needs to be something behind it.

(anoise #5) - We really like the shiny metallic 3D effect and the simplicity of the design. Something about it really works! We need (at least) two fundamental changes, though. (1) EITHER add an "S" to the icon, put the "H" and "S" into the company name, or incorporate that effect into the entire company name. Try to keep it "simple" and "elegant" though! (2) The logo as a whole HAS to tie into the company name or work that we do. Is there is a way to create or show a "wave" propagating across the metallic surface (think of a small surface ripple, not surfing at the beach)?. Could something be reflected from the surface? We'll keep brainstorming on our end...

Some general feedback for designs 1-5: - Great job! Please keep the ideas coming! - It would be *preferable* for the words "Hidden Solutions" to be the emphasis of the design, rather than an icon or initials. - Having said that, we are not opposed to the use of an icon, with or without initials. *If* initials are used, however, there is definitely a preference for both an "H" *and* an "S" to be used, rather than just an "H".

(yosika #1) - I like the simple, clean look of your design, but I'm not really crazy about the use of just an "H" for an icon or the antenna effect coming from the corner of the H. The metallic look of the "H" and wave coming off of the corner of your logo got me thinking about another possible direction, though. Since we do a lot of work in structural health monitoring (using sound waves in metal structures to find defects or damage), could you try to incorporate a propagating wave into the "Hidden Solutions, LLC" text? In other words, think of the "Hidden Solutions, LLC" text being made out of a thin metal sheet and a sound wave propagating across it. I'm not really sure it will work, it's just a thought...
