Describe who/what this design is about

This is a business logo for a construction management consulting company. We provide high level design and contractual management services/advice to some of the larger builders in the world. We pride ourselves in having knowledge as builders in our history, rather that just engineers that have never been in the field. We are willing to travel worldwide.

constructionqcs.com/concrete5 is my website work in progress. It describes in more detail things we do... also please avoid putting hammers and tools in the logo since what we do is mainly consultant services involving contracts, design documents (plans) and legal documents.

What colors would you like?

I am not generally a creative person, but currently my website is a navy blue and orange theme. The background is all the navy blue so in order to show up the logo may need to be lighter colors such as white or orange etc. Please reference my website (under construction) constructionqcs.com/concrete5

Overall these are the top contenders and I have rated the remaining accordingly. I will tell you what I like about each one for the final remaining hours: #11: Simple, clean, serious #10: Most creative with the C around the Q but I do not like the large font beneath or font style in general. #4: I like the symbol, I like the weight of the orange to white for contrast (more orange) I like the 'lighting effect' (it appears to have a shadow or slight color fade on the symbol, subtle is perfect). #5: I like the 'lighting' again (seems to have a shadow effect on it). I like the font/colors, not sure about the silver blocks but some of my colleagues like it. Thanks for all those that posted, I really appreciate it and I welcome any more to come in these last hours. Sorry I wasn't so active on this forum (I figured out I could do this late in the week (post to everyone)).
