We do not want a logo with 'bolt holes' in as it is too similar to another logo in the industry.

#47 and #20 on this page are great. Something like this would work for us.http://orders.logodesignguru.com/contests/smart-let-homes-business-logo?page=2 Something different would too. But bold and simple is the idea I'm looking at with 47 and 20.

#5 is too similar to the rigkits.com logo. 2,3 & 4 are a little too transformers, but very creative. Maybe something in bold text, black and orange. Creativemind is on the right track with the text. Look at this logo www.sandvik.com/ its bold, simple and fits the heavy duty construction machinery industry.
