About company

iCalendarEvents.com promotes upcoming events around the Houston area. People are able to search, find, and promote events on our website. We try to get the word out about exciting events coming into town.

Likes/Dislikes

The site we have now doesn't work correctly and isn't good for SEO. Since we have to fix it we have decided to get a professional design that looks good and keeps people coming back. We need a flash at the start of the site that people can see some of the top events and we can use this spot for promotions. The pages and tabs will be the same as our site now but we will be adding to the "what's local" tab with restaurants, bars/clubs, kids/family, Landmarks, museums, parks/gardens. The main thing is that we want it easy to use and people don't get overwhelmed.

We like www.whatsonwhen.com's layout because it is clean. We also like the way the tabs to navigate though the site are displayed. www.citysearch.com is another site that isn't too busy and is kind of easy to use. We really like www.nycgo.com because they give people a lot of information to make a good decision they also give you their top picks.

#24 we like what you have but we would like to change the categories look at #25 and #35 and those are the categories we want. We dont want anything like our site right now. Thanks for your time!

# 1 the one thing we like that the others don't have is the login you put in. We would like to put places in the home page for: latest events added, this weeks events, icalendarevent picks.

#5 we like the latest events on your design, it gave us more ideas! We also like the bottom part of the layout and that you put places for advertisments. We really need a search box or bar that has what, where, category, and when. We dont need the option for different country's. The things you could add in the lower half are this weeks events, or icalendarevents picks.

#10 we like the way you have done the layout for the scrolling pictures. We also like the way you did your links for the social networking. Out of all your color combinations we like #10. #10 needs to move the search by the pictures and make that space smaller or place it in a bar like #4. Thanks for the design. We would really like to work in a search box like www.whatsonwhen.com so it will be easy for people to search for events. We are also open to do something very different from the site we have now and don't need everything on our home page right now besides the area for the pictures/events in flash.
