Describe who/what this design is about

This design is the main logo for a non-denominational Christian church in St. Louis, Missouri. Check out the website at gccstl.org. We are a fun, family-friendly, loving church known for creative use of multi-media in worship services. We target age 25 to 45 years of age. We emphasize living, growing, and serving. Our mission is to help people discover LIFE in Christ.

What colors would you like?

Probably some green for sure, maybe yellow if prints well. Organic colors possibly. Surprise us! Open to suggestion

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

We are most interested in a logo above or to the left of the text. We would like for the logo to be fairly clean and to be able to stand alone for the brand without the text. We want the word “GATEWAY” above “Christian Church,” and probably want GATEWAY capitalized. We might be interested in seeing an option with the letter G or g used creatively for the logo, but not necessarily. We are in St. Louis, so use of some kind of arch might be interesting, but not necessary. Ok to use the cross, maybe subtle. We do like logo of harvester church at harvestercc.org, even though it does not have logo above or to left.

Possibly creatively employing a leaf or leaves.

We like the green and blue, but are open to other color configurations that communicate life, light. They can be contrasted with earth tones as well. Also, we like variety of the stand/brand alone icons being drafted. We lean toward designs offering a uniquely creative and clean look that feels fresh and original. Thx!

Designers - keep them coming :) Looking for a modern, clean icon that works with "Gateway" or can stand/brand alone. Gateway's purpose is to live, grow, and serve (live for Christ, grow in Christ, and Serve like Christ). Here are four distinct designs we would like to see: Design 1: Text with an organic icon expressing life and growth Design 2: Text with an icon incorporating the cross and the STL arch Design 3: Text with an abstract icon (i.e.; using an upper or lowercase "g" as the icon, or something that reflects our 3 fold mission) Design 4: Icon that is incorporated as one of the letters within 'Gateway' We are not looking for all of these elements to included in one logo...that would be crazy :) Thanks -- we appreciate your time and craft!
