Making creative ideas real
No
Laserbean is a new startup company, all about using co2 laser cutting machines to help creative individuals and companies to turn their ideas into real products. Our target audience ranges from lone hobbyists to architects to fashion studios to larger creative agencies and companies. We will also be producing a range of fun products which will mostly have a personalizable element to them.
In the long term, We aim to build a community of creative individuals with a website allowing them to share their latest work and ideas, and comment on others'. We are a fun company that has a mission to introduce the capabilities of laser services and the huge range of materials that can be used, to people and industries that haven't used them before. We want a brand that will work well online, in print and in small form on products.

2 or 3 colours please, no more. Colours should be fun and bright, definitely no pastels, complementary more than highly contrasting. By keeping the number of colours down, we would like to be able to use the logo with a number of different colour combinations, depending on the background.

We prefer the idea of a icon/symbol or possibly mascot with clean text of the company name next to it. The icon/symbol/mascot part needs to be reasonably simple and work in black/white since we will use it in negative space (i.e. symbol is cut out, with company name in printed form next to it). We would like to be able to use the symbol/icon by itself at times too.
Some logos we like the feel of are: www.newsgator.com, www.shutterfly.com and www.poddater.com.
We would like our final work in the following file types: AI, PSD - ideally also JPG and EPS formats too if possible.
