Describe who/what this design is about

This logo is for First Baptist Church of Washington Illinois. Our Church is roughly 63 years old. Our congregation is primarily older but we have some younger families and this is what we are trying to attract. I would love the design to somehow convey our Mission Statement which is "We exist to glorify Jesus Christ by calling people to Know Him, to Grow in Him, and to Show Him to others. When people see our design I want them to think they would like to come check us out. I want them to think that we love the community. Part of our struggle is we have a young church plant right across the street.

This does not matter a lot to me but I would like it to look good in greyscale or black and white.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

Would love for there to be a Cross is in it somehow and for it to somehow also convey Know, Grow, Show. It does not have to say First Baptist Church it could say like FBC Washington. Or maybe even just FBC and could have Know, Grow, Show as part of it.

We have some good designs started so far. I am doing all I can to give feedback where needed. I would really like the logo to have something that clearly represents the word know, then the word grow, then the word show. Here is just an idea I have kicked around. Perhaps a cross in a circle but it extends beyond it dividing it into 4 parts. In one part is something the represents know, then outside the circle maybe it says know, then in another part grow, then another show. then either below or of to the side it says FBC, Washington. It is hard to put what is in my head into words. Not trying to tell anyone how to design it I just want it to be a clear representation of know, grow, show, and have our church name. And would like a cross.
