"Dark Data Discovery", I'd like to see examples with and without the tag line.

Forensic Innovations develops software that reveals the Dark Data that the other digital forensics solutions fail to find. We would like the "FI" to stand out from the "D3", because "FI" is an abbreviation for the company name "Forensic Innovations". "D3" is an abbreviation for "Dark Data Discovery". We have some ideas of a lantern or flash light shining on something as to reveal Dark Data. Website: www.fid3.com, is going to be completely redone soon.

We have started using "FI" in cursive & red and "D3" in non-cursive & black as a placeholder. If the "Dark Data Discovery" tag line is included, can it be in an evil or dark looking font? The logo will need to be place able on dark as well as white backgrounds. Would it make sense to use dark colors and surround the logo with a tight fitting white outline to make it work on both types of backgrounds? Our old logo, visible on our web site (fid3.com), includes the full company name and a magnifying glass that people really don't like.
