Describe who/what this design is about

I am a writer/journalist/author who is launching a mommy blog. I made a logo myself, but it feels a little too amateur to me. I'd love to get something that feels more polished since I'm taking the blog very seriously.

I like the general idea of my current logo. It needs to be the size of the logo that's currently on the blog -- so it needs to be one long rectangle that is filled with pattern or color. It's 930 x 198
