I was originally working on this design myself and had the idea of a kasa style hat, that many monks wear, in the design http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasa_(hat). I go back and forth between a leaf design a kasa hat design and designs that incorporate both (my favorite).

#76 is great! I did like the leaves on your previous versions a bit better though, like in #71. Can we try the leaves with not so stark greens?

andreydesigner, can you also try the monk's robe in a saffron color https://www.google.com/search?q=color+saffron&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=IbE8T96ZJYiiiQL0i9mSAQ&ved=0CEAQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=892 as is traditional?

#69, #70, #71 - Awesome! You captured everything I mentioned. Can you try taking some of the shine and polish out of them though - rough them up a bit? I really like what you have done but I want to see them, if possible, with a little more rustic look.

#68 and #59 - I like the monks and the ideas in the designs but the shape of the main park of the design looks like a police badge and looks too official to me. Can we change that up to something a bit more organic?

#55 - I also like your concept here. I'd still like to see something that integrates the monk and the leaf into the same design. I believe that getting the idea of the two (monk and leaf) into the same design is the hardest part of this project.

#60 and #61 - I really like the character there. Can we try it with a kasa hat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Japanese_buddhist_monk_hat_by_Arashiyama_cut.jpg) on him and integrate a leaf into it somehow? Great work!

#30 - Can we try the monk a bit more illustrative? I'd like to see how it would look with more of a drawing of a monk rather than just simple shapes. Thanks for the work so far.

I know I didn't select this in my brief but can we try creating a logo out of the words MonkLeaf Tea or the initials ML? Great job so far everybody!

The blue is not what I'm looking for in #32. I need earthy colors.

I really like the colors and the design in #25. Can we try it with the hands inside the sleeves - right hand in left and left hand in right sleeve so no hands are showing. Maybe also try his hands on his knees. Great job! Everyone's designs are fantastic!

I like the concept in #19 a lot. Maybe you can play with the colors a bit. I would really like something a bit more earthy and rustic in color. I really like the idea though.

I also had the idea of a monk character with a pack on his back with tea leaves showing out of the top of the pack as if he had just picked them. Again, it doesn't have to be an actual picture of a monk, just some symbolic representation of a monk or some abstract. Maybe just the kasa hat showing and the pack. You have all come up with some great stuff so far, see if you run with that idea.

I still really like #1. Can we change the "arms" a bit to look more like leaves? Also the "body" looks a bit like a bell or a dress. Can we try some different things with the character in the center. I uneliminated #5 because instead I thought I'd ask for changes as there was nothing really wrong with it. Can we change the look of the leaves a bit to look more like tea leaves (tea leaves are not jagged) or maybe some abstract version of leaves. Can you also try to work some part of the monk theme in there? The colors are too stark in #13 and the design feels cluttered to me.

In #2, I'd like to see some sort of leaf somehow incorporated into the swirl, maybe right at the end. I like the design but it's missing the "leaf" part of MonkLeaf.

I don't like the tan and green together on the one leaf in #12. I don't think the viewers eyes are always drawn to the shape of the monk and if not, it can look like just odd white shapes.

While I really like the design of #8, it reminds me of a logo that might be at a spa or on the package of a high-quality soap or lotion. I'm not sure how to pin it down but it's missing something that says "tea". It's a bit too elegant maybe and doesn't take into account the more earthy nature I described in my brief. Can we change the text in #2 to read Monkleaf Tea? Everything else is great, it's just that the words are changed around.

Great work on all of the designs so far! I have eliminated draft #5, draft #6, and draft #7 because they didn't really stand out to me and didn't really take into account the "monk" part of the theme. I have also eliminated draft #9 and draft #10 because there was no real logo in the design, just text. While I really like the concept of draft #4, showing the silhouette of an actual monk, I'm kind of digging just the kasa hat with some sort of leaf as in some of the designs - think more symbolic of monks instead of an actual monk if that makes sense. Keep up the good work!
