Mountain Bike Event Logo
Wombat 100
No
The logo will represent a 100km mountain bike race. The event takes place in the Wombat State Forest in Victoria Australia, hence the event name "Wombat 100".
The event has recently undergone a name change so we are looking for a new brand to carry the event forward. There is currently a design reflected on the event website, but I believe you designers out there can do a lot better.
Event website here:
http://www.maxadventure.com.au/wombat100/
There are two possible directions we can go with this logo:
Option 1
The current logo features a rather angry looking wombat. The designs I am looking for can feature a wombat type character but I don't want the cartoon character to dominate the design.
Option 2
I am also interested in seeing some clean lined logos to reflect the serious part of MTB racing. This can also feature a more modern take on the wombat character or something more serious. This event is a mountain bike/cycling/endurance type event - this can also be featured in the final design.
The event logo will used:
- On the event website, reflected on top of a banner image including action photos from the event (see link to event site above)
- Button link on www.maxadventure.com.au
- On the front of an event jersey
- Event brochures/flyers and marketing materials
- Online banners for advertising purposes
- Magazine adverts/print advertising

The main colour palette of the event website and supporting marketing material is red, black and white. The logo doesn not have to feature these colours but need to fit in with this colour scheme as the main purpose of the logo is to feature on the website.

I would suggest looking at the cross county MTB racing industry for some ideas.
