Current website logo (PV-Tech):

We also have a print publication, which is the counterpart of the website. The website logo should incorporate the colours used in the print publication logo (Photovoltaics International) in order to maintain the corporate identity (colour recognition).

We would like to have a symbol (as part of the logo) that incorporates the colours in our current logo, however you are free create new concepts using these (symbol doesn't have to be made out of boxes/rectangles as the current logo; nor does it have to be under the text, as or the current logo).
Requirements:
- needs to be web friendly (needs to be scalable; to be reasonably legible when shrunk to a small size)
- needs to be "extendable" to accommodate supplements (ie "PV-Tech Jobs", "PV-Tech Directory", "PV-Tech.org"; see guardian logo as example: http://international.pv-tech.org/images/guardian_logo.png); we'll do the "extensions" in-house, but we need you to pick a font-face for these
- needs to be recognised as the counterpart of Photovoltaics International (mainly colour recognition)
- new logo should not contain the text "Daily News" (as the current logo)
