Luxury Eco-Residential development project in Guatemala. We are building a high-end residential community set amongst 1000 hectares land that is at the base of an extinct volcano. The property begins at 3000 feet (900m) of elevation and climbs all the way up to the summit at over 12,000 feet (3250m). At lower elevations, it is very warm and then transitions through tropical rainforest, to cloud forest to a very a chilly summit. The property was once an old coffee farm (at the lower elevations) that was abandoned years ago. We are creating a nature reserve in the upper areas that include huge trees and lots of wildlife and are carefully building an eco-luxury community for upper-end Guatemalan families where the old coffee farm once was.

The marketing concept is a blend between a Four Seasons Resort and an active community that is more akin to the Nike ad campaigns with young, active, hip, people living a healthy lifestyle outdoors.

There will be over 50kms of world-class mountain biking trails; a first-rate tennis club with 11 courts and different surfaces (clay, hard, etc.), a "boutique" water park with private villas surrounding it; many miles of hiking & running trails throughout.

The views from the property are spectacular- you can see 4 nearby volcanoes plus a view to the Pacific Ocean in the distance on a clear day. You also see the entire coastal plain and all the while are surrounded by natural beauty of the trees, plants & tropical flowers that abound on the site.

The project will have residential lots where people can build their own homes but will also have areas where we build the following products for sale: Mountain cabins; tennis villas; aqua/golf villas; eco-villas (carefully built alongside ecologically sensitive areas).

We are building a small residential resort-like city (with NO hotel since we want it to be very exclusive and only for the use of property owners).

For an idea of the "feel" that the project will have, check out the websites for the Four Seasons hotels & residences as well as that of the Six Senses Spas. Here are links to them that you can explore to get a general idea of the quality we are looking to create and transmit via the logo.

Would like colors but would still want the logo to work in black & white (if needed).

Thank you to all the designers who participated in the Cordevera Logo Contest. We have selected design #156 by kebrra as our winner. Congratulations to KEBRRA for this, and all of the other designs submitted. That said, we will likely seek further variations and/or refinements of the logo in the future. The may entail another contest in the future, etc. so please keep an eye out for our next contest- we will look forward to working with you. There are many truly talented people who contributed. Special thanks go out to "koncepts," "dave0585," and MANY others who submitted multiple designs. It is tough to award the prize to just one person. THANKS!! Cordevera Team

The text of the logo can either be either simply "CORDEVERA" or you can write "CORDEVERA RESERVE" with "Reserve" placed underneath and in place of where many drafts now say "Resort"). Thanks!

Not sure why everyone is putting "Resort" in the logo... we are actually just "CORDEVERA." Please keep this in mind with logos! Thanks.

Drafts #103, #14, #44 and #9 are currenly in the lead but we have requested some modifications to each of them. If you have a design to submit, please take note that these are along the lines of what we want: simple, iconic, natural. #103 is probaby the best, so far. The contest is winding down and I am considering extending it, if possible to give you time but that has not been made official by mycroburst as of yet. Good luck & Thanks!

Less than 2 days left at this point. Please take a look at the submissions that have not been eliminated and you can get some idea of the feel that we are looking for. Some have been given 2 or 3 stars and are closer to something we like. The problem is that they are kind of boring & we are hoping for something more "unique" and iconic while still maintaining the elegance & clean lines. There are some other submissions that have NOT been eliminated yet though they have no stars- these are essentially still there as food for thought; they have at least some element that could be elaborated upon to bring them up to the level of #56 or #82, etc. Thanks for all your help & good luck!

Would anyone be interested in trying to design an option similar to #44 but with a fern lying mostly on its side and with only half of the fern leaves visible (rising upwards) and then making those leaves form the silhouette of a mountain range / hills? That would then communicate the concept of nature & the terrain all in one. Thanks!

#44 has the right feel to it but I would like to see if we can get more creative somehow. While the art/design on #41 may not have the "polish" we are looking for, there is a creative concept there that could possibly be enhanced. Ideally, we would have a logo that is creative and fresh but also subdued and polished like #14, #43 & #44. Thanks for all the work to everyone who has contributed so far!

#14 is one of the better logos so far... would like to see a couple more options using ferns, etc. There are lots of "cyathea" ferns on the property. Not saying that we definitely want this but are certainly open to variations along the lines of 14, etc.

Drafts #9 & #11 are more along the lines that we are looking for.

We are looking for something much more polished and elegant than the first 7 submissions. Ideally, the logo would have "CORDEVERA" in a great font below with a small, classy logo above.
