WE SELL USED CARS WITH IN HOUSE FINANCING. WE SPECIALIZE IN OFFERING AFFORDABLE TRANSPORTATION TO CREDIT CHALLENGED FAMILIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. WE HAVE BRANDED THE RED CROSS IN OUR CURRENT LOGO (docktermotors.com) AND WANT TO KEEP IT. WE ARE OPEN TO DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE CROSS & ANY CHANGES WITH THE LOGO. WE HAVE 2 LOCATIONS BUT PLAN ON ADDING LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE EAST COAST. THE LOGO CAN BE FUN AND CARTOONISH BUT SHOULD STILL MAINTAIN PROFESSIONALISM FOR CORPORATE.

This is a good question & the answer is clear. The focus needs to be on DOCKTER MOTORS. The cross should flow well with the entire logo but I don't see examples meant to confuse as being associated with the "red cross". Any post containing the words "red cross" or attempting to do this will be eliminated. Please read.... Are the Words "Red Cross" Copyrighted? Is the Red Cross on a White Background a trademark? No. The Red Cross name and emblem are not the property of the American Red Cross as a corporation. The American Red Cross is entitled to use the name and emblem only because it is the officially designated volunteer organization envisioned by the Geneva Conventions to assist the United States government in carrying out its treaty obligations. The treaties anticipate the existence of such an organization in each country bound by the treaties and authorize such organizations to make use of the name and emblem in carrying out the humanitarian activities for which they are established. The prohibitions have nothing whatever to do with copyright or trademark law.

some nice stuff being posted here...gotta like it! Question - is it not risky asking for the red cross logo to be so prominent. Not too many multinational companies take kindly to such a breach of trademark. I dunno - just thought I would share my two cents.

Hello to all designers, I had a productive meeting with my team. After brainstorming we have updated our star ratings. Thank you for all the good graphic based designs being posted. Lets keep in mind this logo should work on a pen as well as a large vehicle wrap. We would like the option to put a distinct cross icon by itself on a hat for example and have someone who has been exposed to our logo think of Dockter Motors. I would like to guide the group with this inspiration. Theoretically a mind blowing graphic based logo could accomplish this. We have not seen one yet. #237 is the only concept so far that accomplishes this for us. Please do not copy!!! this concept. I feel there is still enough time left, with all the talented designers working on this project to develop other unique and creative concepts. We take pride in our brand and I will be available, and 100% hands on with this project over the next 24 hours. I will work privately, and directly with any designer that post a concept/design we like. I will provide feedback on any constructive comment or question posted to the group. This contest is gaurenteed and we do not intend to extend it. Thank you....THE CREDIT DOCTOR

Great job everyone! We feel this project is heading in the right direction. As the project holder our primary goal is to find the best of the best logo. We would like to encourage complex artistic designs or simple creative concepts, which require extra time and effort. Please continue to send in your own unique designs. To clarify our last comment, we are interested in seeing different solid 3D objects. examples...cylinder, cone, cube, ect. A cone may give a better option for combining a recessed & extruding cross. We are not just considering a sphere. Earlier in the discussion we requested (no cars), but we could consider a unique play on letters like brushstrokes of resembling a car, ect. Thanks.

We would like a clean modern font & our red cross recessed, extruding, or both from a solid 3D object. This object should be artistic, creative, with good depth. Hello, to all designers. We have rated all designs. We would like to see versions of the red cross with artistic detail like the sheild in #49 (web2.0). We like the fonts in #10, #44, & #49. #66 was a creative fun idea. Dockter is mispelled in #72 and #42 was eliminated for car in logo. Thanks.

Please keep sending your different ideas as we are still getting a feel for our likes and dislikes. We plan to rate all designs tomorrow using the star system. We do not do any auto repairs, just sales, so please no tools, gears, ect. Please do not use any cars or initials in logo. Thanks!
