Our company is evolving from positioning itself in the "Staffing" industry to being something more positioned as a "Talent Community".
We are seeking a simple, cool and hip yet memorable logo and symbol to use with marketing materials, website, and giveaways (mugs, polo shirts, and other marketing schwag).
Although we will be using our logo when client facing, we are primarly trying to attract top quality candidates and give them a truly differnt expereince. Our branding efforts are very much going to be around what our Candidates think of us. Therefore, we need a logo which "feels cool" and something people want to be a part of.
We differentiate, for example, by having a Wellness program for our temporary employees as well as focusing our attenting on their expereince with us...first.

We have a color pallette in our offices of light blue, sea green and chocolate brown. We don't necessarily need those colors, however; we need something that would compliment.

We've tossed around several ideas around replacing the "o" in Lakeshore with the symbol. The symbol should also be able to stand alone outside of the word Lakeshore for promotional purposes. We've thought about some type of sun, a heart, or beachball, etc. Something that represents being "at Lakeshore".
We even thought about trying to creatively combine a sun/heart somehow. If you attempt to use a heart, make it subtle and not "cheesy" we want to understate the message of "we care about our Candidates".
From a font perspective, we're open to ideas. Including using all lowercase or uppercase letters. We just want the font to be simple and classy, yet hip/cool.
WE DO NOT WANT: Handshakes, people shadows, globes, abstract objects, or techie swoops. We really don't want anything that would make us look like we're "trying to seem super professional".
