This is for a startup recruiting practice, www.astutesearch.com
I started this company 2 years ago after 7 years working for one other successful staffing firm. My goal is to have an impressive, modern logo to make us look bigger than we actually are.
The logo will be used on the upcoming website, business cards etc. I would like the logo to fit into a square box so I can upolad it as a photo on social networking sites. I also want to be able to use the logo with and without the text of our company name

Really not sure on this. We originally thought cool colors, blue and green but am open if something pops out. Maybe red. Probably not yellow or orange.

www.astutesearch.com is the current site. Our new site will have a layout similar to www.maxhire.net
right now our font is Palatino Linotype with the first letter of each word in Astute Search 10% larger. We would like to keep this. Right now we are really focused on the logo so if anything, just add ASTUTE SEARCH in a Palatino Linotype type font as described above.
Looking at previous contests, we like the 3D logos; spheres and smooth cubes, reflective shapes with some type of design but are also open to your unique ideas.
