Even after the struggle to empower women, there is still a glass ceiling that prevents women from reaching the executive level in the corporate world when compared to their male counterparts. Women continually make their mark in terms of commitment to work and yet, are underpaid and underappreciated. The art and design industry is no exception. This year we have featured a handful of women who stood against all odds and overcame the obstacles in their field, not just with words but through smart thinking.
