Describe who/what this design is about

We are a non-denominational church located in a small community in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. Our setting is scenic and beautiful like a postcard. The current church logo is outdated, stale - 40 years old at least. We want something fresh that reflects the character of our area but is still current. Elements that can be included in design: cross, open Bible, mountains, stream, horizon curve, sun, forest.

Can do away with the BCC and icon for #1, but I do like the lettering and style for the name. Maybe adding a cross to the left side and/or curved horizon over top with small cross. I eliminated the other two because symbols were too traditional. Thanks for the work
