Conker Coaching

Grow yourself and your business

Yes

I am a coach, which means that I help people to learn, grow and develop themselves - for instance to be more effective in the way they work with other people (clients, boss, employees), to develop their business, to learn on the job. (please ask if you need more information)

not sure

I’m really looking for something of which I think: “Yes, that’s it!” I’m happy for you to submit a rough idea or sketch initially, to show me what you have in mind. I will be checking in several times a day for feedback. If I like your concept, you can refine it and show again, if I don’t like it you may save yourself a lot of work.
I googled 'logo tree' and found some trees I liked (though I have no idea how it would work for Conker Coaching). And please feel free to come up with something very different, or just simple and clear. I'm looking for an 'aha' idea, not for something like everything else. And if a tree doesn't work, that's fine too. I will know what I'm looking for when I see it.

You have come up with some great creative ideas. It is going to be hard to choose! A few hours left for your creative ideas.

CreativeMind - #43 - could you take out the empty branches - they make it look a bit barren and sad. Maybe the leaves could be bigger and fewer? Would it work to have a few conkers in the tree between the leaves?

MarenMay - I certainly want 'Conker' above 'Coaching'. Can you put a bit of distance between the shell [which you've used as the 'C'] and the conker [the 'o'] OR keep the conker and shell together and put a separate 'C' in front of it. It needs to be very easy to read. Thank you.

Mannee #41 and 42 - what a great idea, to put a world map in the conker! You've rephrased the saying 'the world is your oyster' into 'the world is your conker'. and I like the sprig with leave coming from behind.

PH - I really didn't like the style of it, so I didn't expect you to =) I'll improve the design and put the new drafts up. Thanks! Maren

CreativeMind - giving the 'k' roots in #39 is better, but I like the tree in # 30 better, with its full crown. The leaves in #39 and 40 look more like maple leaves than horse chestnut leaves. I do like to get the biology right, even if stylized.

MarenMay, why did you withdraw #31? I like the stylized conker. Maybe the shell and the conker would have to be separated a bit to make the name easier to read. I think Conker has to be the top word. The name has to be easy to read.

MarenMay #33 looks great - the shadow suggests movement, as if the conker is jumping for joy. The overarching tagline works well. Being a bit of a biologist, I would like the picture to be a little but more true to nature - i.e. the leaves to look like real horse chestnut leaves, and the sprout to start from the side, not the light bottom of the conker. Have a look at pictures of sprouting chestnut on Google Images. I like the font in #33 more than that in #34-36. The letter g almost looks like the head of a bee with one of the antennae. Do you have any other fonts that might work?

CreativeMind - thanks for your contributions! I like no. 30 best. Can you show a connection with the chestnut? The leaf in no. 30 is generic, not of a chestnut tree, so that is out. I like those details to be correct. In no. 27 I like the idea of growing a tree from the letter k, but I'm not sure it works. It seems the tree comes from nowhere. The one in no. 30 is more clearly a whole tree.

Project has been extended. I would like to see a few different ideas please - focus on a conker [the nut of the horse chestnut tree], perhaps as the root/ source of the tree if it works. Thanks.

Raindesign - I like the linked o's. But designs a bit too abstract for me. I chose the name for what a conker embodies, and would like to show that in the logo too.

Kugajevska, could you take the conker and tree from no. 11, with the font of no. 10, then give the word 'coaching' a capital C and a slightly bigger font? Also, take the conker and tree from no. 11, put it with font of no. 12 and give 'coaching' a capital C and a bit bigger font.

Kugajevska - I like the ideas in no. 14 and 15. The green and brown really work well together. But I think the tree should either have its roots in the conker [as it grows from the conker], or the whole tree should be in the conker [as hidden potential]. Maybe a little tree on one side inside a larger conker. For instance, both the tree and 'Conker Coaching' inside the conker?

AbsolutMud no. 13 - whoops, I'd forgotten to say a conker is the nut of a horse chestnut tree. This one is a sweet [edible] chestnut. A conker is much rounder, like in your other pictures, the sweet chestnut is pointed like in no. 13. Just a quirk of British English. I like the idea, but it's a bit too brown for me. Your picture made me think of a tree inside a conker as though it was an embryo inside the womb. Interesting thought! May be a little bit difficult to do though. And it might be a bit too feminine. I want the logo to appeal to both male and female audiences.

I'm looking for a few different ways to use the conker to picture the idea of growth. Could a tree be put inside of a conker? Big conker, tree inside it, the name somewhere either inside the conker our outside it?

Can you think of a completely different way of doing this? I'm looking for some more and different ideas to choose from. Thanks.

AbsolutMud - no. 1 and 2 - I like the picture, but it does not refer to the conker [the nut of the tree] itself. Would it work to have some conkers in the tree? Name should be in a colour to match tree/ conker - either green or brown. Blue doesn't match to my mind. No. 3 - too much the same as so many other logos with stylized people with their hands up in the air. No. 4 - too abstract, doesn't do anything for me. Too many logos have an abstract circle.

Kugajevska - no. 6: I like the two leaves sprouting from the conker! can you play around with the conker a bit more, perhaps get one with its spiky shell still on? Leave out the slogan for now to concentrate on the rest. Can the 'coaching' be a bit bigger font? I like both words in green, and the capital 'C' as in no. 5. Do you have any other fonts that might work?
