Creative Brief

Driving School Logo - Eye catching but professional

Elliotts

Driving School

No

This Logo will be for my new driving school.

I want to give a first impression of someone who is fun but professional. I want to catch the eye of teenagers but meet the approval of older people (their parents are normally the ones paying). Older people also learn to drive and I don't want them to be put off by the logo.

I see far too many driving school cars that are really boring. I'm a driving enthusiast and want to convey that I put in that bit of extra effort.

The logo will be used for graphics on the car (I don't have a car yet so needs to be adaptable for different colours)

In England learner Drivers have to have to display a red L on a white background. I'd like to incorporate that into the logo. Please also bear in mind that the logo could be used on a white background (sign on top of car, letterheads, business cards etc) but the car is likely to be a different colour.

not sure

Bearing in mind that the Name has the letter L in it I think it would be good to try and incorporate an L plate (see images) into the logo.

Potentially the O could be a steering wheel although it must not make the logo look cluttered.

I had also thought about the S looking like a road, again as long as it doesn't make the logo too busy.

I really want something simple that stands out, makes it obvious what I do at a glance and makes me look better than my competition.
