#WinningWednesday: Meet Our Featured Designer X-Pert

Dejected, and broken spirit, he wraps up one of his “doodles” as his friends and colleagues calls them. “Acha hai” (It’s nice) they say about a month’s worth of design work which he has slaved over for hours. Whoever says that anymore about a piece of art? How about “creative”, “beautifully curated”, or even “well blended colors”? Another job application down, another one to pursue.

This is not the first time that X-pert (aka Muhammad Ali from Karachi, Pakistan) has been shammed into believing that his drawings are nothing more than passable doodles. Never one to worry, he will find a way. Since his school days X-pert has been interested in art work, but after his pursuance of a Bachelors of Computer Science degree, he’s been pressured to get a decent job to support his family. He’s tried his hands at different firms for a graphic design position without much success. When he searched online for jobs, he found ZillionDesigns.com, and signed up there too.

From then on X-pert has never looked back. He had started with designing letter heads, and from there he’s graduated to business cards, envelopes, and even logos. Today, he specializes in stationery design and is considered a “super designer” by ZillionDesign.com’s crowdsourcing platform. It’s a tough competition to be one – super designers are chosen from among thousands of participating designers based on their integrity in design, copyright checks, number of continuous wins and more. Not only this but X-pert is among the top ten designers. With this, he’s proved graphic designing is his passion.

“I do my level best at all time; I don’t care what others are coming up with in terms of design concepts. When I participate in a project, I put in all my might with the belief that I will win it.” Such a belief is born from X-pert’s humble nature who is always thankful to “Allah”, and a one-track mind determination – to win over a project holder at all cost.

He’s never been one to be discouraged by power outages, occasional strike calls, or computer break downs which are common in a country like Pakistan. In fact, these adverse conditions have set him to be even more determined. “I am willing to participate in all kind of graphic contests in the future and my aim is to be among the top 5 on ZillionDesigns.”

X-pert is thankful for the opportunity to work with a community of professionals and for being recognized as one. Receiving star-ratings has become a high that he experiences almost every day.

He’s been with the company for the past 3 years. He’s gone through their ups and downs; branding and rebranding but never thought of quitting. He feels at home when he logs in to his panel and receives messages about his finalized projects. And when he receives his hard earned money, on time, straight into his account, he knows he’s among the right people and working for the right clients who appreciate his hard work and creativity.
