The term "Omics" refers to a broad discipline of science looking at the
interactions of biological information associated with genes, proteins
and metabolism. The main objective in the study of Omics is to focus on
the collection of large scale and holistic data/information to gain a
better understanding of biological process and apply this knowledge for
targeted purposes, eg. fighting cancer, developing new vaccines, agricultural testing ecosystem monitoring, etc.
The logo should try to capture the broad essence of omics in a simple
and visually appealing way.

Some words which may assist in developing a design: Biological, DNA, protein
molecule, building blocks, cells.
The DNA double helix is used in many
logos (almost done to death) so if it was going to be incorporated in
the design (and it certainly doesn't have to be), it would need to be in
a very original way.
