Creative Brief

Project Urban Pantry (PuP)

Urban Pantry

No

Urban Pantry is going to be an upscale grocery store in South Loop area of Chicago. South Loop is an upcoming urban area booming with young professionals who enjoy urban lifestyle without actually living in the heart of Chicago. We will be catering these young professionals. Refer to Target Audience section in next question to find out more.

Additional to the traditional grocery items (daily food needs, beer, wine etc.), Urban Pantry will be providing unique services not offered by other grocers in area. Such as online marketplace, in-store coffee corner, curbside pick ups, featuring items from local bakers, producer/farmers, unique organic corner, wine tasting etc. Ambiance of the store is going to be upscale as well. For example, fireplace, sofas, free WIFI, exposed bricks with Loft style setup etc. Logo should reflect this business practice.

Brown, gray probably. Do not feel obligated to use them. Feel free to use your imagination.

not sure

Logo should emphasis on a word Urban as it is going to be in the urban area. Probably, show how Pantry is being urbanized. If possible, leverage ending of urbAN which overlays beginning of pANtry. If you reverse ‘b’ before AN in urban becomes ‘p’ in pantry followed by same two letters ‘an’. Another idea that we were brainstorming was having some sort of transition object between Urban and Pantry showing Pantry getting an Urban touch. We tried to use an ‘Arrow =>’ in our example. You can also leverage shopping cart or shopping bag with initials UP or just stylish u. We are looking forward to your excellent work. Good Luck!

Thank you,
Urban Pantry Team

Hi CH why don't u send private messages... Yes I can, make amendment's to the designs. Also keep in mind the designer that came with the idea, as I see that many of designers are copying my bar-code idea...

d3signer4u, Can you please recreate your logos with other bag or rather bar-code styles? We loved the embedded bar codes.

Graphiczone, Very creative. We loved the little 'grocery bag'. Would it be possible for handles to be little tilted down to make it more realistic. Can we also add couple grocery items about halfway through the U? Milk, bread, fruits, cans etc. Is it possible to use different color palette? #4 with the red box is very slick. Can we make it little more symmetric and remove mirror image for 'an' in the Pantry? Appreciate your hard work and creativeness... Looking forward to next masterpiece!

Hi all designers. We have yet to see a draft for our project so just wondering if the information we provided is not sufficient enough.
