I provide translation and editing services for lawyers in English and Portuguese. I want the logo to be a distinguished trademark, reflecting a sophisticated and highly professional service, standing out from the average translation services available in the market. This is a sophisticated service, in the sense that it is not only translation, but qualified and elegant writing for any legal documents, from contracts, to correspondence, memorandum and legal marketing materials. I am a qualified Brazilian lawyer with more than 20 years experience, having worked in the most renowned firms in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and having been a partner in one of the largest international firms worldwide, with a masters degree in European and International law from Cambridge University, UK. Darwin is the name of my College, in Cambridge. I am a lover of language and writing. I lived in London when I was a teenager for a couple of years, when I began my love of literature and the English language. I am fluent in both English and Portuguese and currently reside in Portugal.
I will provide high level specialised services for law firms and companies in any legal writing requirements, from translation, to proofreading, revision of texts, ghost writing of legal texts and editing services, in the English and Brazilian Portuguese languages.
I intend in the future to expand the brand to any kind of writing/translation/editing/copywriting services for any industry. For this reason, I would like the logo to convey the idea of writing services for any audience, but the tagline "Legal" is thought to target the initial legal audience, and may later be characterised as a sub logo if I decide to expand.
The logo needs to convey reliability, since the targeted audience is demanding and conservative. It also needs to convey a clear idea of what it stands for: elegant and fluid writing. I also would like it to show creativity and romanticism, as the idea is also founded in my love of writing, so perhaps including a writing feather or something similar in the logo.
