App Design Company

Moore Apps

No

We are a startup app company that wants to bring consistent, high quality and very useful products to the market. We will not only be producing apps for mobile devices, but also web apps. A focus of ours will be education, health and safety markets. Another area of interest is helping people save money. We are a very casual group of people and want the logo to represent that as well, but without sacrificing a professional look.

Abstract

Think 3 or 4 primary type colors, similar to the Microsoft and Google logos, but we are very open on this...

not sure

Very clean, fun yet creative and somewhat unique. We do not want a copy cat logo that people will say, "that looks just like..."

Once again, take a look at the ones still in the running. After a review with my partners I have moved down to the final designs we really like. I will point out the details of each design and what we like most about them: All of these have hit the colors we like, so no changes needed there. #95 - very strong on the graphic. We like the multi-colored icon with the M in it. Not as sold on the font. #94- like the graphic a lot and like the font (especially the app part turned on its side) and the multicolored line underneath. #83 - definitely a contender if the smiley face is taken away and the graphic tweaked a little as mentioned in the last comment. #77 and #43 - we like both of these. The colors and the abstracted m and kind of the a as well in the graphic is great. Possibly a variation would be cool with a dot inside the triangular area on the right end of the logo to look a little like an A? #72 - good colors and the explosion look of the graphic is really good. #62 - really strong contender. Is there possibly a way to tweak a little to make the long tail of the M on the left instead of right side? #40 - very strong as well. Probably our favorite font wise and the word parts. The colors in the words is really strong as well. Maybe try to work the M and possibly the a into the graphic? Also, in general, we would like someone to try and work in an M raised to the a power (think the exponent in e=mc^2...don't think I can do exponents in this comment - if you aren't sure what I mean please ask) like M^a...not with the ^ - instead the a would be a superscript next to the a. Make sense? For example, maybe on #95 place an a at the upper right side of the graphic? Just a thought. Thanks guys! This is all really great work. We are really impressed.

If everyone takes a look at the 4 star items you will see the directions we are leaning. The colors in all of these are pretty consistent, so that is one bit of feedback that is important. We are looking for colorful, but not overly so. Also, we are leaning heavily toward one with the graphic part having the "m" incorporated somehow...#62 seems to be one of the favorites common to the group so far, with many others close behind. On #83, we are going away from the smiley face, but this one has lots of potential. Can we see it without the smile and the colored bars representing the m lower (or I guess the circle raised, same difference) would make it look a lot like a power button with the m in it...just a thought. By the end of today we will have it to a final 5-10 designs and then see where we go from there...

We are moving away from the smile as part of the logo. On #42 and 47 can we try it without the dots in the curves and without the drop shadow? It looks too much like a face with those. I will be extending the contest to further work out our favorites and to make a decision.

First, not a one of the submissions so far are bad. I am very impressed. I will walk through each entry in which I see the most potential for feedback: 3 - I like the sense of action and movement the swirl gives...maybe an M at the center of the swirl? Possibly with an a as an exponent next to the M...maybe even tilted like it is swirling too. 4 - I like this look, maybe with slightly different colors. I think darker to lighter from left to right might look better to me. 8-11 - The general theme is good here. I like 11 the best, with maybe trying some version with the a on the M's in the icon (see 3 above) 12 - would like to see it darkened up a little and on a white background...see other comments for ideas as well... 13 - see comments for 8-11 14-18 - I really like 17. I like the swirl idea due to the movement it gives the image. The smile intrigues me and I may have further comment on it later. 25 - I also believe this one is strong. I just saw it for the first time so will think a little more on it.
