New Logo Design Consideration | Pyramid Tool Inc

Our brand needs to strongly represent as Pyramid Tool Inc enters its 20th year of excellent quality and service in the plastics industry. This begins with a corporate logo and how that logo will represent over a wide range of media and the difference between vector, adobe and bitmap generated designs. We require the winning design converted files in all formats [.eps .pdf .png .tif .jpg], and a scheme that holds up well against any background including black and white. A reversible design is a plus and will receive extra consideration. Please use our current four color emblem designed by the company’s president for inspiration. However, don’t be afraid of coming up with multiple and a wide variety of designs. We are open to any possibility. Our color scheme is navy blue and pewter, but we’re open to using more common colors in the scheme that compliment our print marketing strategy.

The new logo should be in a classic style, secure, masculine and good for manufacturing products in a wide variety of industries such as aerospace systems, automotive, consumer products, electronics, energy, healthcare, human sciences and medical devices. Pyramid Tool Inc is always on the lookout for new innovators… Our message to these engineers, entrepreneurs, designers and all other sorts: leave the details to us! Think “Shark Tank” meets “How It’s Made” TV shows!

The new logo must have universal applications from website to pamphlets and print media, from stationary to anything in the digital world (easily digitized to embroidery and print everything promotional from t-shirts to rubber stamps). A subliminal mark, such as a pyramid, works well in every type of media so the image of the brand is always the same. Repetition works well in our industry and speaks of the accuracy and consistency in quality of work. The white arrow implied in the “E” and “X” in the FedEx logo is a perfect example of a subliminal mark. Abstract, word mark or a combination of both, but remember “simple” is the most important feature to the design. No emblems. Half-tone of existing color to create another “color” is a great feature we will also consider.

We seem contradictory with this request but only want to expand the designers’ innovative thought during the creative process. Finally, we are looking for a fresh new look, a scheme that hasn’t been repeatedly overused - on the surface something that looks simple on a first impression, but appears very complicated and third dimensional on the second or third glance. We want to be painfully obvious… pyramid is in our name, after all.

Thank you and good luck with your design!

I downloaded an image for new inspiration for day three. This is our most used tool in the shop for basic measurements. Please use this micrometer to help you create new concepts.

Design Element - We are receiving all different shades of Pewter. #26 & #27 by SpiraelD are the closest to the target. For example, Tampa Bay Buccaneers team colors use pewter in the NFL.

Design Element - After the first day we have realized that we are trending towards certain designs. Please adapt your design by omitting symbolic logos. Please use word mark or subliminal mark concepts. For example, the white arrow implied in the FEDEX logo

I'd like to see designs without the slogan please. The slogan is not apart of the logo. It is interchangeable. I added it purely for inspirational purposes.
