Creative Brief

Bookcover for Saudi Novel

A Pure Home

They are ten short stories exposing the dark side of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The side people don't really want to see. The title contradicts the stories themselves. The topics that are included in these stories are: - Rape - Drug dealing - Prostitution - Kidnapping - Murder - Necrophilia - Abuse of orphans - Suicide

Writing

I do majorly want it to be simple typography, nice clean colors. Nothing too dark or too bright. Nothing too obvious about Saudi Arabia. I do suggesting looking into the designs for Haruki Murakami novels as well as Kurt Vonnegut's. The designers can also look at this website as a reference to what I mean: http://bookcoverarchive.com/ All of the covers are clean and pleasing to the eyes. Nothing too out there. Also, the size is standard paperbook, and the author's name is G. M.
