I am a self employed electrician that mainly performs electrical work on yachts that average 60-75 feet in length. I think that although many of my customers are very well off they chose me because while I'm still very professional they get a better value working with me as opposed to a bigger company. I don't want my logo to look "expensive".

I'm looking for a simple logo that I can use on my website, business cards and graphics for my van.

I don't want clip art style designs...anchors, steering wheels, lightning bolts or pictures of boats. I also don't want water waves unless it is subtle or a cleaver way to symbolize water or waves. Nothing cartoony. Nothing too busy.

The initials of my business name (RMS) can be emphasized if it helps you design the logo.

    Hello designers. I want to thank all of you for your hard work. I have in front of me many designs that I want to choose as the winner. There are many designers that have multiple drafts that I would love to have as my logo. If I could afford it I would choose multiple winners. Unfortunately I only have the means to choose one winner.

    Hello designers. Question: does my assigning a star to your design somehow help or hurt you with Zillion? I have been rating your designs only how they relate to what I'm looking for. I have given low stars to 5 star designs that are not what I'm looking for. Thanks again for all of your all of your hard work!

    Thank you to all of the designers that have submitted drafts...there are a lot of good ideas. Here are some tips to hopefully make your job easier: I'd rather not use clip art. Pictures of boats, propellers, steering wheels, anchors, rope, lightning bolts, electrical plugs and so on. If I can recognize it I don't want to use it on my logo. I'm looking for abstract graphics. I would like to try and keep "Rider Marine Services" together and not "Rider Marine" on one line using a big font and "Services LLC" on another line in a smaller font and different color. That said I do have some drafts that have been successful splitting up "Rider Marine" and "Services LLC". Others the contrast between the two is too great.
