Logo revision for photo booth company (modest revisions ONLY).
Big Sky Photo Booth
Yes
We are a photo booth company, renting our portable photobooths to weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, non-profit events, you name it! We are located in the Rocky Mountain West and have established ourselves as the leader in high quality, interactive, and professional photo booth services. We focus on that old-school, vintage photostrip and experience with a true sit-down booth, and photostrips that print in black and white or color, with extremely high quality photostrips. Meanwhile, we are also looking to the future, and realizing that the customer wants social media incorporation, and high tech photobooths that can go beyond the retro booth. The logo should convey both the digital modern age that we live in yet also the vintage flavor of old school photobooths. Vintage feel and texture is the most important. We have been highly energized and motivated by the designs of a local designer named Lacey, but she moved away and is not doing design anymore. Her inspiration for our project was the chalk drawings by Tanamachi. Visit tanamachi at tanamachistudio.com. We would like our final logo clean up to somehow incorporate this vintage, chalk-like feel to the typography. The logo should convey fun, as we bring props and costumes to all of our events, however the logo should not be cartoonish, cheesy or childish. The must contain many of the elements we already use in our logo that is identified with our company such as colors and some of the fonts. The choices below made me select only one option for colors. Currently our logo contains three colors - we have our black and blue version for white media, and our white and blue version for presentation on black media. . We would like the designer to help us select the best "vintage" blue....search Google Images for "vintage blue" as a starting point as one idea....

A "vintage" blue, with black and/or white depending on the media displayed on. Or, the designers may suggest something else. The logo should be simple, contain our name Big Sky Photo Booth, and contain the attached hand-lettered font for the words Photo Booth. The logo should not deviate from the current design hardly at all but to add an element (a symbol, an abstraction, a "mark", a "bug") that can be used as the favicon, and that individuals can associate with the logo. We have always wanted a moustache and one other prop, like a hat, in the branding. We want to be able to keep the "stacked" look of our current logo. We have always thought that the line could become a moustache on a stick. We have been told that having a hat hang off one of the letters would be good, but none of the local designers have done a good job with this.

Do not deviate much from the current logo as we have been in business for 3 years and people are really starting to identify with our logo. The logo needs to be cleaned up. It needs to have that designers tough. It needs to have the hand-made font from the file I have already mentioned above (and that which is uploaded; I have the file as a .ai but cannot upload to logo guru as too big of file. We can transmit via yousenti.com or a document share program). The logo is missing a "mark" or some element that can make it more playful and for that we can use for people to identify with our booth. See suggestions above. I will be attaching many files to guide you. This project has been going on for far too long, with not the right results. We have finally decided to open it up to as many designers as possible to get as many ideas as possible. Please see the local designers file mentioned above and uploaded here as a starting point. One strategy is to combine the elements there, with some hand-made font (vintage feel) for Big Sky with the current logos! Start there! Thank you for your help!
