Logo for a Professional Speaker's program title
Funny Is The New Serious
No
I am a professional speaker and entertainer. This logo is for a new program I am unveiling, to sell to meeting planners who hire speakers for meetings and conventions. You can visit some of my other sites, HealthcareHumor.com, CustomCorporateComedy.com, JewishComedian.com, to see some of the other kinds of logos I've used in the past.
"Funny Is The New Serious" is a program that is demonstrating to audience members that a subtle switch in attitude from 'serious' to 'humor' can produce powerful results. The program is very, very funny--with lots of laughs--but also has lots of content and a strong message for the audience member.
When designing this logo, I do not want the word 'Funny' to be too outrageous or wild. While we certainly want to show the contrast between 'Funny' and 'Serious', the logo must also appear professional and appealing to someone who is deciding whether to make a considerable investment in a speaker.
It is also possible that this logo may be used as a part of a design for a cover for a book that is being written with the same name. But the logo's primary use, initially, is for web use, promo materials use, and being used as the title graphic in a demo video. The book cover will come later--but it would be great if this logo can work for that, too.

I prefer primary colors. I am not a big fan of pastel colors or muted colors.
not sure
My biggest concern is that the word 'Funny' come across as 'fun' but not too 'wacky' or 'silly'. I'm open to any graphic elements to accompany the words, but I think the words are probably the primary element of the logo.
