Describe who/what this design is about

manufacturer of casual shorts. My company is ellzwear and the product or shorts are called ellz. Which came from my last name being Lafferty. So ellz is basically a play on the letter L. I was going to make the product L's but settled on ellz because of domain name choices.
I need the logo to stand out on licensed apparel. Like the nike swoosh or the quicksilver wave.
