Logo for SalesConsulting.Com
SalesConsulting or SalesConsulting.Com
No
The logo for SalesConsulting .Com will represent this new company. This is not only the URL for the firm, but the name as well. The logo will be used on my website and correspondence, but is extremely important as a part of my email signature on Outlook. I will use email frequently so the professional image here is important.
I must create a solid, professional image with two types of clientele. My goal is to create significant traffic with individuals and companies looking for anything to do with the field of sales consulting or realistically, they are looking for some help. With the inherent strength of this URL, I will portray the image of an industry consulting guru. I wish to play on my image of knowledge, professionalism, competence, wisdom and credibility. I am in fact older and have two other companies that lend credence to the idea that they can trust and rely on me. For your information, these are links:

The second group will be other consulting firms. As I attract internet traffic and companies that need consulting help, I will interact with them but intend to refer their business to sales related consulting firms of all types. I have done this in the past and will have trusted partners with whom I receive a referral fee. I need both partners and potential clients. I can attract both by the strength of my website and my experience and expertise.
My company logo needs to convey a feeling of strength, knowledge, confidence competency, stability and power. My market will be the United States.

I envision my new website as features the colors dark blue, gold, silver and white. I lean to those colors for the logo. Given my brief and the nature of the image that I want, I put great emphasis on class, dignity and an aura of authority and knowledge. I want this reflected in the quality and class of the logo. That is why I like gold and silver inasmuch as the bottom line of my logo refers to "value."

The people that I will deal with will be generally in the 30 -50 year old range and will be professional and intelligent. I am looking for a logo that is dignified yet not dull. An example of a logo done for me by MycroBurst recently is an example of something that fit my needs as a logo for a training concept that I use: See below:

Because the name of my company has 19 characters, it is not easy to use that name in a logo. It is not like Pepsi, Coke or GE. I have two possible paths and would like to see two options. One is the logo that portrays only the words Sales Consulting, or depending on how that looks, one word, SalesConsulting.
The other approach is using SalesConsulting.Com in its entirety, perhaps in some graphic semi-circle. I don’t know. The difficulty of a long name is that it is critical that this logo, in being used for an email signature, must be readable and attractive when reduced as a jpeg measuring ¾ inch by ¾ inch. I also would like logo that I could use on promotional garments. So I would want something that I could give an embroider and have them put the logo (1” by 1”) on a shirt, etc.
The logo needs to be on a transparent background so that I can copy and paste it to any color background, ranging from white to black.
When placed on a white sheet of paper and then printed on a black and white printer, it should be attractive.
Make sure you use the TM symbol with SalesConsulting. While I have stated that I want this logo to more traditional than not, I am not against creative or bolder graphic ways to do it.
